What is MailWell?
MailWell is an AI email design studio for Shopify brands. It helps merchants turn product and brand context into polished, editable email creative and email-safe HTML.
Does MailWell send email campaigns?
MailWell does not send campaigns, manage subscriber lists, run automations, or track recipient engagement. It creates email creative that merchants can export into the email tools they already use.
What Shopify data does MailWell use?
MailWell uses the shop domain, installation state, granted scopes, selected product and collection details, product images, brand context, generated email projects, export metadata, billing status, and AI credit usage needed to run the studio.
Does MailWell store customer or order data?
MailWell does not request customer or order scopes from Shopify and is not designed to store individual customer records, addresses, order histories, payment details, or fulfillment data.
How does Klaviyo publishing work?
If a merchant connects Klaviyo, MailWell stores the Klaviyo private API key in encrypted form and uses it to create or update custom HTML templates when the merchant chooses to publish.
Can I export raw HTML?
Yes. MailWell can export table-based, email-safe HTML with QA warnings so the merchant can review likely inbox issues before copying the design into another email platform.
How do billing and AI credits work?
MailWell includes one free generated preview before paid access is required. Starter is $49/month and includes 200 monthly AI credits. Pro is $149/month and includes 750 monthly AI credits. Paid access is managed through Shopify App Pricing, and credits are used for planning, generation, revision, and suggestion actions inside the studio.
